SAM LEWIS

Sam is a skilled, adaptive and experienced advocate representing clients across a spectrum of family law matters involving high net worth individuals, complex company and trust structures, Financial Agreements, financial disputes, parenting (custody), family violence, surrogacy, substance abuse and child relocation matters.

Sam fosters a co-operative, compassionate and trusting relationship with his clients ensuring they are well-informed and feel supported whilst traversing their family law dispute.

Along with providing expert advice during dispute resolution and/or litigation, Sam understands the importance of building relationships, communication and catering to each individual’s needs. Sam utilises a pragmatic and practical approach to produce no-nonsense advice as well as cost effectiveness for his clients.

In addition to an extensive family law practice, Sam also specialises in criminal law and estate matters. Sam’s keen eye for detail is critical in successfully running litigation across multiple jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Barker Evans in 2021, Sam practiced for several years in the Family Law team of a well-respected, large boutique firm in Newcastle, NSW. 

Sam holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from the University of Newcastle.
